The Bahamas are a chain of over 700 islands located just north of Cuba. They considered to be part of the West Indies and the Caribbean. The population is about 315,000 with over 70% of the population located in the capital city of Nassau. The Bahamas is in the Eastern Standard time zone (the same as the eastern U.S.) and does adhere to Daylight Savings Time from April to October.
