When is the Best Weather in the Bahamas?

No matter what the season, year round temperatures run between 75 and 85 degrees F. The summer brings heat and humidity with there being a greater chance for rain during the summer and fall. However, officially, hurricane season runs from June 1 until around the end of November. The islands are warmed by the Gulf Stream in the winter and cooled by the trade winds in the summer months, thus providing travelers a very temperate climate. As it gets hot beneath the sun, we recommend you bring sunscreen, suntan lotion, sun glasses and hats to provide adequate protection.

Temperatures in the Bahamas

While the islands typically have a temperate climate year-round with summer temperatures averaging between 80 and 85 degrees, their is an increase in the chance you might encounter rain during the slow summer tourist season.

During the busy winter season, the weather remains very comfortable. Temperatures will typically be in the mid 70s and possibly upwords of 75 degrees F.

When is Hurricane Season in the Bahamas

Always a question on new visitors minds is if their might be a chance to encounter a hurricane during their visit. Well, hurricane do happen but that is typically during the months from June 1 through November 30. The most active time for hurricanes in the Bahamas is during August, September, and into early October.
